City of Revere Commission on Disabilities Awarded Planning Grant

This week, Mayor Brian M. Arrigo was informed that Revere has been awarded a $125,000 grant through the Massachusetts Office on Disability. The Municipal ADA Improvement Grant Program will enable the City to hire a Compliance Consultant to evaluate the accessibility of all city buildings and infrastructure in Revere
Working closely with the City of Revere’s Commission on Disabilities, the hired consultant will create a Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan to identify areas in need to improve access and programming for people with disabilities.
“We look forward to obtaining information and guidance through this grant program,” said Mayor Arrigo. “It is important we continue to seek upgrades and advance accommodations for all of our residents.”
