City of Revere Announces 2017 Fall Festival on Broadway, To Be Held On Saturday, September 23

July 18, 2017

On Saturday, September 23, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the City of Revere Parks and Recreation Department will debut a new event - a Fall Festival on Broadway. This community celebration will bring together our city for a day of fun for all ages.

The event will feature activities for families, children, and people of all ages, including street performers, local food and merchandise vendors, a beer garden, and a main stage with musicians and comedians. A segment of Broadway from Park Ave. to the corner of Beach and Fenno St. will be limited to pedestrian traffic only for the duration of the festival.

“We are confident this event will quickly become a beloved annual tradition, and attract lots of foot traffic to Broadway, giving our local businesses exposure,” said Mayor Brian Arrigo. “The goal is for this festival to reflect our community’s pride, and Revere’s ongoing cultural and economic renaissance.”

From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on September 23, the Family Zone behind City Hall will be open, featuring inflatables, kids games, and family-friendly street performers. During this time, vendors will be set up along Broadway, featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, and specialty foods. Additionally, food trucks will be parked across from the American Legion.

From 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the main stage will be open near the American Legion featuring various entertainment acts. Additionally, there will be a beer garden in front of the American Legion for adults 21+ to enjoy beer from local breweries.

The City has worked collaboratively with the Chamber of Commerce to reach out to Broadway businesses to work with them on planning this festival. They have also begun soliciting sponsorships and recruiting vendors for the event.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the festival should contact the Parks and Recreation department, at 781-286-8190 or cgiuffrida@revere.org.

Interested vendors can also contact the department, or visit www.revere.org/FallFestival2017 to download the vendor application form.
