Snow Emergency and Parking Ban in Place Effective 6 PM on Sunday, February 12
February 12, 2017
In anticipation of another significant storm moving in to the area, the City of Revere has declared a snow emergency/parking ban, effective at 6 PM, Sunday, February 12, 2017.
Residents should be aware of the list of emergency arteries - http://reverepolice.org/snow-emergency-parking/ - and not park on these streets until the parking ban is lifted. Vehicles parked on emergency arteries will be towed for the duration of the parking ban.
The potential exists for significant snowfall and treacherous conditions overnight Sunday in to Monday and during the morning commute. Please only travel if you must. Your cooperation is appreciated so DPW can clear the roads as quickly as possible.
As of now, trash pickup is on as scheduled.
Updates will be issued to residents via social media:
as well as via local media and the CodeRED Reverse 911 robocall system. You can sign up for CodeRED alerts here:https://public.coderedweb.com/cne/en-US/857075CD51F2
In addition, blue emergency lights have been installed on several major arteries to notify residents when a snow emergency is in effect.
