Message from Mayor Rizzo Regarding this Past Weeks Events in Boston

April 18, 2013

Dear Residents,

I write to you today with a heavy heart. A tragic event unfolded in Boston this past Monday, killing and injuring innocent people and wounding the soul of a great city during an iconic and historic event.

I think we all feel a bit numb right now, but there is strength in coming together - coming together to comfort one another, to mourn and to heal.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families, and I hope that you and your loved ones - and our residents - are safe and sound.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office, or me, if you need anything.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino have announced the formation of The One Fund Boston, Inc. to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston on April 15, 2013.

I wish you strength and peace,

-Mayor Rizzo
