2017 Boston Wounded Vet Motorcycle Run - Sunday, May 21 - Traffic Information

Each year, Revere is honored to host the Boston Wounded Vet Motorcycle Run, which raises money for local veterans. This year's Ride takes place on Sunday, May 21, running from 12 PM-2 PM - starting at Harley-Davidson and ending at Suffolk Downs. At 2 PM, following the ride, Suffolk Downs hosts a ceremony with speakers, food, a beer tent, vendors, and more. For more information, view the event website: https://theyfoughtweride.com/boston/.

To help make the day go as smoothly as possible, the City of Revere will be posting route and traffic information on this page to help you plan for interruptions in traffic patterns on the morning of the ride.

Affected Areas and Times:

The affected area of operations will be the following: From 10:00am -1:30pm

  • Intersection of Squire Rd (Route 60, west and eastbound) at Wesley , Lynn and Beach Streets (Malden)
  • Washington Ave from Malden St to Squire Rd
  • Wesley St (Revere/Malden) (Completely closed from 10:00am to 1:30 pm/MBTA Notified)
  • Salem St (Revere/Malden)

From approximately 1:30pm – 2:30pm

  • Lynn Marsh Rd (Route 107) Southbound
  • Brown Circle (Intersection of Broadway {Route 107}, Squire Rd and American Legion Highway {Route 60})
  • Intersection at American Legion Highway @ Revere St.
  • Mahoney (Bell) Circle (Intersecting American Legion Highway, Beach St, VFW Parkway, Shirley Ave. and Lee Burbank Highway (Route 1A)
  • Lee Burbank Highway @ Tomasello Way (Suffolk Downs entrance)

Alternative route suggestions during affected times:

  • To access Saugus and Points north (To avoid Squire Rd/Lynn St/Salem St area):
  1. Use Copeland Circle (remains open and moving) to US Route 1 northbound out of affected area.
  2. Lynn Marsh Rd (Route 107 northbound) or North Shore Rd (Route 1A northbound).
  • From Saugus and Points North into Revere (To avoid Squire Rd/Lynn St/Salem St area):
  1. Use Route 1 southbound
  • To Access Everett, Malden and Points west (To avoid Squire Rd/Lynn St/Salem St area):
  1. Washington Ave to Fuller St into Everett.
  2. Washington/Park Ave to Elm St, Everett
  3. Revere Beach Parkway westbound
  • To access Revere/East Boston/Winthrop/Boston from Points north (West Lynn/Route 107 area):
  1. Use Route 129 westbound to Route 1 southbound
  2. Use Route 129 eastbound to Revere Beach Blvd to Bennington St
  • From Points south into Revere (To Avoid Copeland (Bell Circle):
  1. Use Bennington St to North Shore Rd or Revere Beach Blvd to Points north.
  • From Points north (East Lynn) into Revere North Shore Rd/Route 1A area (To Avoid Copeland (Bell Circle):
  1. Route 1A southbound to North Shore Rd to Revere Beach Parkway (across from Revere Fire/Police stations) to either Bennington or Route 1A southbound
