Purpose
Housing Families’ programs combine to provide a holistic approach for all families and individuals in our shelter, permanent supportive housing, and other programs. The Clinical Director will work with adults and families who are homeless and seeking more permanent housing, to supplement their housing search case management with clinical and therapeutic interventions that address their mental health needs. This position will work in conjunction with the program staff, graduate counseling interns, and other agency staff to create a welcoming environment that values clients as partners in their care and wellness. They will provide individualized clinical care to adults, children, adolescents, and families through education, prevention intervention, therapeutic treatment services, referrals, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

1. Work collaboratively with Program Directors, clinical staff, and other staff to provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed therapy to clients utilizing various treatment modalities, (i.e., individual, family, group, and expressive arts, play therapy).
2. Hire clinical staff as the organization grows and supervise them in carrying out the following responsibilities.
3. Perform initial assessment and evaluation of new clients and families. Identify treatment needs and appropriate interventions according to client needs.
4. Coordinate referrals and provide consultation as needed.

6. Collaborate with relevant collaterals such as case managers, referring agencies, schools, primary care physicians, and family members to ensure coordination of care in accordance with agency policy and applicable laws pertaining to client confidentiality.
7. Attend in-service training and outside seminars to enhance and develop clinical skills.
8. May provide training, workshops and consultations to teachers, parents and collateral staff.
9. Participate in outreach to families for parenting groups and children’s programming.
10. Work at multiple sites within the organization as needed.
11. Perform program specific duties and functions.



Qualifications
Must have experience working with children. Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred. Applicants who have experience working with families from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This position is full-time.

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be able to pass a CORI/SORI background check.
• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or closely related field and professionally licensed in MA. LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, LMFT preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate clinical experience.
• Experience facilitating individual, group, and or family therapy sessions.
• Ability to work in-person & provide telehealth (when needed).
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write and speak in both languages strongly preferred.
