Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities In Revere

February 24, 2017

The coming months offer residents a number of opportunities to get involved with local events and organizations:

Special Olympics: The Special Olympics Young Athlete program for kids age 2-7 with special needs starts up again on March 11 from 11 AM-12 PM at the Paul Revere School. This six-week session is free thanks to the support of volunteers like you! If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Enza Goodwin at 781-485-7163 or email etumb@comcast.net.

Beautify Revere cleanup: A city-sponsored cleanup event will take place on Earth Day, April 22. For more details click here. Volunteers will be needed all over the city to help make this a success; contact ebaker@revere.org for more details.

Revere Runs 5K: The Revere Runs 5K returns on Saturday, June 10. Volunteers are needed to staff the pre-race registration area, ensure the safety of the course, and help with setup/cleanup. If you’re able to assist, contact Julie DeMauro at jdemauro@revere.org.

Commission on Disabilities: The Commission on Disabilities is working on establishing a constituent services drop-in office to help residents with questions about services for persons with disabilities. Those interested in volunteering once this office opens, or offering their support to the Commission in any way, should contact commission co-chairs David Hahesy and Ralph DeCicco at disabilities@revere.org.
