REVERE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT SET FOR NOVEMBER 21st

State, Local, and Federal officials, along with prominent business leaders, developers, and investors set to discuss Revere’s long term economic growth strategy

Revere - Today Mayor Daniel Rizzo announced the specifics surrounding Revere’s second Economic Development Summit which will take place on Friday November 21st from 9:00am through 1:00pm at Revere Showcase Cinema (565 Squire Road). This summit will bring together State, Local, and Federal officials, along with prominent businesses leaders from around New England and beyond, to review Revere’s ongoing economic development strategy and provide a progress update since the last summit held in the fall of 2012.

Revere has enormous potential and much of its strength is derived through a diverse and talented labor pool, a 2 ½ mile stretch of oceanfront, a close proximity to Logan Airport and Downtown Boston, and great transportation connections. Many projects are now underway or scheduled to commence in the near future. One of the agenda items will include recent success stories such as Market Basket, The Vanguard at Waterfront Square on Revere Beach, Harley Davidson, and upgrades and renovations along our central business district.

“Revere’s long term plan and path forward towards future growth and prosperity may not be a simple one, but it is one that in the end makes our city better and stronger for residents, businesses, and visitors. As we continue to seek out both increased public and private investment, this second Economic Development Summit will highlight and outline our long term economic plan,” stated Mayor Rizzo.
