About the Revere City Wide Fitness Challenge and 5K Race:

The Revere City Wide Fitness Challenge was first initiated by Jodi Reath and Sean Mallet, owners of Millions of Muscles Fitness, in order to promote health and wellness in Revere. Revere on the Move, Revere CARES, the Revere Recreation Department, Mayor Rizzo’s Office, Revere Public Schools, and numerous health and wellness businesses collaborate each year in order to continue the Fitness Challenge. The challenge has been very successful in highlighting some of the important health and wellness businesses in Revere along with giving residents a free way to exercise and become healthy. In the Spring of 2013, Julie DeMauro, Safe Routes to School Coordinator of Walk Boston, and Dr. Ann Marie Costa, former Revere Public Schools Deputy Superintendent, joined the group and helped to organize the first Revere Runs 5K Race. The goal of this collaboration is to promote health and wellness for the residents of Revere. Proceeds from the 5K Race will go towards scholarships for Revere High School Seniors.
