Plan Revere Public Meeting

Community members invited to attend and share their vision for the future of Revere
Revere – Today Mayor Rizzo announced that the first public meeting for the “Plan Revere” initiative will be held on Tuesday May 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Revere City Hall in the City Council Chambers. Plan Revere will commission a community based visioning process for the entire City of Revere that focuses on our strongest assets; proximity to Boston, waterfront, and access to public transportation.
The Plan Revere process will include a 50+ member Steering Committee divided into five subcommittees focusing on specific goals and objectives. The program will take into account zoning, commercial expansion, housing, education, infrastructure, transportation, demographics, and quality of life. Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting and learn what steps city officials have taken thus far, and how they can get further involved in shaping the future of Revere with regards to growth and development.
“Over the last several months we have been in continuous discussions with private developers, state officials, and other experts in the field of economic development on how to conduct a thorough, community focused, visioning process. The public meeting on May 5th will give residents the opportunity to offer insight and ideas on how the Plan Revere process should proceed, and how we can continue to attract meaningful economic development to our community without forgetting the needs of residents,” stated Mayor Rizzo.
