Parade Committee comes together to host the 3rd Annual City of Revere Columbus Day Breakfast
The Columbus Day Planning Committee, made up of City Officials, members of the Revere Chamber of Commerce, as well as several other community stakeholders, has been meeting frequently since last year’s successful Columbus Day Parade and Breakfast. They are happy to announce that this year’s fundraising breakfast will be held at the Revere High School Cafeteria on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Tickets are $25 each or $250 for a table of ten and includes a full buffet breakfast. This is an alternating year for the actual parade itself which will take place next year on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, 2015.
“I was so pleased with the return of the Columbus Day Parade last year and pledge to continue this tradition. The parade has always been a wonderful community event for people of all ages and last year was no exception. Please take this opportunity of getting involved by either participating in, or donating to, this worthwhile breakfast celebration..” commented Mayor Rizzo.
Speakers for the breakfast will include Mayor Daniel Rizzo, Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo, Senator Anthony Petruccelli, Representative RoseLee Vincent, and City Manager Jay Ash. More speakers will be announced over the coming weeks.
