City of Revere and Revere Police Annual Toy Drive Officially Underway
December 7, 2013
Mayor Rizzo announced today that the City of Revere and Revere Police Annual Toy Drive is officially underway and that residents and businesses can donate toys to children of families in need.
One of the best ways to make a needy child feel happy and included in the celebration of the holiday season is to donate a toy. While providing hours of fun and lasting memories, a single toy can inspire learning, sharing, and personal enrichment. A new toy would mean so much, especially to a child who might not otherwise receive a holiday gift and to the family whose hardship is prohibiting them from giving them one.
The City of Revere and the Revere Police invite you to join us in our holiday tradition of gift-giving to the many children in need, truly, a “Tradition of Service”.
If you would like to participate in this great tradition, please bring a new, non-gift wrapped toy, appropriate for children between the ages of 1(one) to 12 (twelve) years old, to any one of our two locations.
- Revere Police Station 400 Revere Beach Pkwy. Police Station is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Revere City Hall 281 Broadway. City Hall hours Mon – Thurs. 8:15 to 5:00PM and Friday 8:15AM to 12:15PM.
We ask that any donations you may be able to provide are made prior to Wednesday, December 20, 2013, so they may be organized and distributed in time, but we will gladly accept toys right up until Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, 2013.
While receiving a toy will brighten the holiday of a needy child, you too will receive the gift of giving and knowing that you’ve made a huge difference in the life of a child this holiday season.
Happy Holidays to all!
