5th Annual Revere Runs 5K to take place Saturday, June 10
April 3, 2017
Mayor Brian Arrigo’s office is proud to announce that the 5th Annual Revere Runs 5K will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
The 5K will once again start in front of the Whelan School, and will coincide with a health fair which invites local businesses to come and promote products and services related to health and nutrition. The health fair will run from 9 AM to 12 PM.
Also included this year will be a 1-mile “fun run” for kids age 6-12, which will precede the start of the 5K. The 1-miler begins at 9 AM and the 5K will start at 9:30. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate.
The entry fee to race is $20 for those who pre-register. Revere youth age 5-18 can register for $5. Race day registration will cost $25. Proceeds from the registration fees and funds raised will be used to fund four $750 scholarships for graduating Revere High School seniors. The first 250 runners to register will receive a t-shirt on race day.
Those interested in running can register online at www.tinyurl.com/RevereRuns5K. You may also register at the Revere Recreation office at 150 Beach St. For more information, contact Julie Demauro, Active Living Coordinator for Revere on the Move, at 781-286-8174 or jdemauro@revere.org.
