Broadway Advisory Council Meeting
LOCATION: CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
During the fall of this past year, Mayor Rizzo established the Broadway Advisory Council (BAC), consisting of business leaders and business owners from Revere’s downtown area.
The next meeting of the BAC will be held on Tuesday January 29th at 5:00pm in the City Council Chambers. The meeting agenda will include an update on the installation of 29 ornamental street lights and 3600 feet of conduit. The revitalization plan also includes streetscape and pedestrian safety improvements between Beach Street and Mountain Avenue. This will include new decorative crosswalks; new curb ramps, replacement of damaged concrete sidewalk panels, and significant landscaping modifications. Also, as part of the plan, the Mayor is implementing a storefront and sign improvement program targeting the block between Park Avenue and Yeaman Street.
Some of the members participating in this Advisory Council include Revere City Councilor Anthony Zambuto, Owner of the Jewelry Box Tom Yourowski, Owner of the Citizens Bank Building Bill Goldberg, Manager of Citizens Bank Jeff Howe, and Laura D’Amico and Bob Upton, both representing the Revere Chamber of Commerce.
If you would like to get involved in the revitalization of Broadway please contact the City of Revere’s Director of Economic Development, John Festa at jfesta@revere.org or by calling 781-286-811.
