Revere Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union

The Revere Municipal Credit Union was started over 50 years ago by 10 Revere policeman who wanted to help City employees and their families with low interest loans and low fees. Public works, Police, City Hall employees and school department employees of both Revere and Winthrop are eligible.

The Credit Union has expanded its membership to include all students of Revere and Winthrop Public Schools grades 1 to 12 and their families.

The Credit Union has an office at Revere High School at 101 School Street to help students and staff.

Nonprofit Spotlight

At our initial nonprofit meeting, we learned a lot about the great work going on in our community. The Mayor would like to honor some of this work in the media and through the city’s website/social media by starting a monthly nonprofit spotlight feature. Each month, we’ll select a person or a group to highlight with a story on revere.org, and share this story with local media.  If you would like to nominate someone (your own group, or someone else’s!), reach out to Nick Romano (781-286-8111) with information about the work they’re doing, and a recent story of how they made an impact in our community.
