Nonprofit News and Events
Two more nonprofit panels were held on August 8-9 at City Hall. Over a dozen organizations from the area were represented to provide feedback on city services and ways the nonprofit community in Revere can work collaboratively.
As a result of feedback from the forums, Mayor Arrigo will be sending out a survey to all area nonprofits in the coming months asking them to provide some critical information about the work they do and what challenges and opportunities Revere is facing.
At our initial nonprofit meeting, we learned a lot about the great work going on in our community. The Mayor would like to honor some of this work in the media and through the city’s website/social media by starting a monthly nonprofit spotlight feature. Each month, we’ll select a person or a group to highlight with a story on revere.org, and share this story with local media. If you would like to nominate someone (your own group, or someone else’s!), reach out to Joe (firstname.lastname@example.org, 781-286-8111) with information about the work they’re doing, and a recent story of how they made an impact in our community.
