Community Conversation with the Mayor and Cabinet

We’re excited to be launching our Community Conversations with the Mayor hybrid town hall series by welcoming residents to join in person or virtually. We’ll also be offering Spanish interpretation services online and in person.

You’ll be asked to insert your name, email, and if you want Spanish interpretation services. 

Use the Chat features to ask questions or if you are having trouble with the technology. 

To ask a question select the question mark and type in your question. You can see what other questions have been asked at this location and vote on your favorites to make sure they get asked.

Polls will pop up during the event, and you are encouraged to participate.

For Spanish interpretation - open both links in different browser tabs: 

• Link 1 (current page): https://www.revere.org/mayors-office/conversations-with-the-mayor (be sure to mute this video or you’ll hear everything twice). Link 1 will give you the video of what’s happening.
• Link 2: https://www.revere.org/mayors-office/conversations-with-the-mayor-spanish in your computer browser. Link 2 will give you the Spanish interpretation audio.

On the Spanish interpretation networking hub, click on the “Interpetación en Español” circle to enter. Your browser will ask you to allow your microphone and video, click allow. During the presentation and Q&A, we ask that you keep your microphone muted and video off. 

Your final setup should again be two tabs or browsers open on your computer. One with the main stage video muted and the other with the Interpetación en Español audio and video.

Once Q&A ends, we are encouraging all online participants (English and Spanish) to jump over to the Networking Hub at https://www.revere.org/mayors-office/conversations-with-the-mayor-spanish. They can select the group they want to join: 

• Spanish speakers
• Infrastructure
• Affordable Housing
• Community Connections (meet your neighbors)

Please keep in mind this is a new technology we’re experimenting with to engage in conversation with more of our community, so feel free to message us with any questions before, during or after the event as we want to keep improving the overall experience! 

During the event, we highly encourage you to: 

• Ask questions (show screenshot of where to ask questions)
• Upvote other questions you also want asked
• Participate in the chat

After the event:

• We want our virtual audience to network with the community as if you were in person
• Go from circle to circle to talk with the City of Revere staff and citizens to advance the issues you care about most!
