What is the 2020 Census
“The census is a survey that is a foundational part of our democracy.” #WeCount
The U.S. Constitution requires that EVERY PERSON living in the United States is counted every 10 years. The numbers are used to allocate government REPRESENTATION and RESOURCES for the following decade.
Each completed Census survey equals $2,372 of Federal Funding for each Massachusetts resident (GWIPP, GWU, Counting for Dollars 2020).
In 2010, the City was one of the top 5 responders with one of the largest increases in population in the Commonwealth.
If you do not have a smart phone or computer you can fill out the 2020 Census confidentially at a computer at the Revere Public Library. For location and hours of operation visit: https://www.reverepubliclibrary.org/about/location-hours/
