Summer Jobs
The Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program begins accepting applications for employment every February 1st. Applications are due by mid-April each year. Job placements are located throughout the city, including the Revere Parks & Recreation department, department of Public Works, City Hall and local businesses.

Fee Assistance
Mayor Arrigo and the Revere Parks & Recreation Department believes that all residents should have the opportunity to participate in recreational programs. The Department will attempt to provide leisure opportunities for residents faced with financial hardship, or, in need of temporary assistance.
Financial assistance is provided to Revere residents only. Persons requesting scholarship must complete the corresponding Financial Assistance Scholarship Application Form and submit it along with the above necessary documentation to the Director of Parks & Recreation, Michael Hinojosa, 150 Beach Street, Revere, MA. Applications will be individually reviewed and evaluated. Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of receiving the application if the application is approved.

Community Center
The George Colella Community Center is located within the Garfield School (176 Garfield Ave) and is a division of the City of Revere Parks & Recreation Department. The facility includes a gymnasium, auditorium, classroom space, and swimming pool.

Revere Community School
Revere Community School (RCS) oversees the Parks and Recreation Department’s continuing education programs for adult learners. These programs include English Classes for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Citizenship, HiSet, Computer classes and more. These programs are offered to residents of Revere year-round and are held at either Revere High School or the George V. Colella Community Center located within the Garfield Magnet School.
