Banners Along Broadway! Flowers on Revere Beach!
Spring is in the air and it is time to clean up and beautify the City of Revere.
Imagine new colorful banners along Broadway and lovely hanging baskets of flowers along Revere Beach. We all wish to see our city looking good and the Revere Beautification Committee has plans to see that it does.
During the month of May, the Revere Beautification Committee will oversee the installation of new and colorful banners along Broadway. Each of these specially designed banners is sponsored by a business or an individual who supports the committee in its mission to “improve the image of the City of Revere through an aggressive beautification program.” The RBC is seeking additional sponsors so as to be able to continue its efforts on behalf of the city. The Revere Beautification Committee is also finalizing plans for the installation of hanging flower baskets along Revere Beach. Two plants are hung on each light pole along the beach, creating a colorful floral array. Businesses and individuals that support the RBC’s efforts to beautify Revere Beach sponsor each of these poles. The long-term goal of the RBC is to have flowers on every pole along Revere Beach Boulevard. The Revere Beautification Committee is seeking additional sponsors for this program. “It is important that everyone knows that all funds generated from the above programs are reinvested into our beautification efforts within the City of Revere,” said Eleanor Vieira, Chair of the Revere Beautification Committee.
“It is” she continued, “only with the support of the community that the committee is able to attain its mission of improving the image of the City of Revere through an aggressive clean up and beautification program.”
