Notice to Residents: Winthrop Avenue Construction
February 13, 2014
Construction related to sewer repair work in Winthrop Avenue will commence with excavation efforts beginning the week of February 17, 2014. Prior to this, you will experience equipment and materials being delivered to the site area. No Parking and Detour signage will also be installed this week.
DURING NORMAL WORK HOURS OF 7AM TO 5PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, WINTHROP AVE. WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC. Local resident traffic will be directed around the work site by Revere Police Department details.
The construction work taking place is a result of collaborative efforts between the City of Revere, the MWRA, the contractor Albanese D & S, and the City's engineering consultants CDM-Smith. This work is scheduled for completion in mid - April 2014. During construction, access to some driveways will be limited. In these instances, residents will be notified directly, in person, and in advance by a representative of the project. In addition, the sidewalk along the ball field will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite side of the street for safe passage. As always, EMERGENCY VEHICLES AND SERVICES WILL BE ACCESSABLE THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION.
Thank you very much for you continued co-operation and understanding throughout this project. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact:
