April 13, 2017

Mayor Brian Arrigo and Revere Parks and Recreation invites Revere middle school students to join in an open gym session on Friday, May 19, from 6:30-9:30 PM. Drop in to play basketball, soccer, or dodgeball. The games played will be dictated by attendance and the choice of the participants present.

Friday, May 19th 6:30 – 9:30

West Revere School Complex Gymnasium, 107 Newhall St.

(Revere residents only)

Open gym is free for all. However, students can only gain entry by complying with the following:

  • Students must show a school identification badge. If they do not have a school identification badge they must be accompanied by a parent and have the parent sign them in
  • Students must provide an emergency phone number
  • Students must have no food or gum in their possession

Later this month, an open gym session for High School students will be scheduled as well. The date and time will be announced in the near future. These sessions will be used as a pilot program, with hopes of regularly scheduling these events next school year.

“We are always looking for ways to increase programming for our kids,” said Mayor Arrigo. “I look forward to a successful collaboration between Revere Recreation and Revere Public Schools, and continuing these kinds of programs in the future.”
