City of Revere Ordinances, Section 10.16.171
Operating Motorized Scooters, Skateboards, etc. Prohibited
No person shall operate a motorized scooter, motorized skateboard or other similar motorized vehicle on any public way, street, or sidewalk or on any property owned by the City of Revere.
The following vehicles shall be exempt from the provisions of this ordinance.
A) Vehicles licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as motor vehicles,
B) Vehicles used by handicapped persons, and
C) Landscaping vehicles and/or equipment.
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a
fine of $100 for each offense after a warning for the first offense only. All
ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
Revere residents who have high risk disabilities
such as: heart, strokes,
seizures, diabetes, hypertension, Alzheimer’s or other serious medical
problems are urged to participate.
