The City Solicitor’s Office is staffed by City Solicitor Paul Capizzi, Assistant City Solicitor Daniel E. Doherty, and Deputy Assistant City Solicitor Cheryl A. McCormick. The Solicitor’s Office represents the City of Revere as a municipal corporation. In particular, it provides legal representation to the Mayor, the City Council, all departments of the City and most of its boards and commissions. Representation includes active litigation matters as well as legal opinions. As legal counsel to the City, the City Solicitor’s Office is prohibited from providing legal representation or legal advice to members of the public. Therefore, if citizens of the City of Revere have a private dispute, the Solicitor’s Office cannot advise them on how to proceed.

As legal counsel to the City of Revere, the City Solicitor’s Office is prohibited from providing legal representation or legal advice to members of the public. Therefore, if citizens of the City of Revere have a private dispute, the Solicitor’s Office cannot advise them on how to proceed. Citizens are advised to consult with a private attorney.

If you believe a city tree needs to be trimmed, cut, or removed, please contact the City’s Tree Warden, Paul Argenzio, at the Department of Public Works, at 781-286-8149.
- CAN I CUT OR TRIM A CITY OF REVERE'S PUBLIC SHADE TREE?
No. If you believe a City of Revere tree needs to be cut, trimmed or removed, you must contact the Department of Public Works. There are penalties and fines if any person other than DPW trims or removes a public shade tree.
