INVITATION FOR BIDS
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF GYM EQUIPMENT
City of Revere is soliciting sealed bids for furnishing and installing gym equipment. The bids will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City Hall, Revere, Massachusetts until 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2008, immediately after which the bids will be opened and read publicly.
Specifications may be obtained beginning Thursday, March 6, 2008 after 1:00P.M. from the Office of the City Purchasing Agent, Revere City Hall, 281 Broadway, Revere, Massachusetts 02151. Mailing of specifications requires advance payment in the form of a bank check or money order, in the amount of $ 5.00.
Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “BID FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF GYM EQUIPMENT” and be submitted to the Office of the Purchasing Agent no later than 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2008.
Each bid submitted to the City of Revere must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, money order, cashier’s check, certified check, or treasurer’s check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, in the amount of $ 2,500.00. Checks must be made payable to the City of Revere.
The City of Revere as the awarding authority, may accept any bid or a portion of a bid, waive any irregularities and/or formalities, investigate the ability of the vendors to honor a bid, select a vendor who does not submit the lowest bid and award all contracts as shall be considered in the best interest of the City of Revere.
It is the policy of the City of Revere to take positive steps to maximize the utilization of minority business enterprises in all activities administered by this agency.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) business days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
This invitation for bid is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B
