Over the past 15 years, a half billion dollars in public and private investment has transformed Revere Beach. There has been a rebirth of the oceanfront as a public recreational area and as a quality place to live and work; and more is yet to come. Among the major investments already in place or soon to begin:

• nearly $5 million to restore and recreate the reservation’s pavilions, bandstand, police station and period lighting in historically accurate fashion

• nearly $45 million was expended to upgrade the MBTA Blue Line including a total reconstruction of the Revere Beach and Wonderland Stations

• the development of over 1100 rental and condominium units in 10 mid and high rise residential buildings
